We recommend motorists check the following on their vehicles this spring:
Get your air conditioning serviced. If the air smells stale when you first turn your air conditioning on it could be a sign that mould is building up in your condenser. Regular servicing will help to prevent this from happening.
Keep your washer fluid topped up. During dry spells there can be a lot more dust and insects around so keeping your washer fluid topped up means you can clear your windscreen effectively.
Check your wiper blades and replace them if necessary. The rubber on wiper blades can harden or become damaged, which means they won’t clear the windscreen properly. Worn out blades can also create marks on the windscreen.
It is really important to check your wheel and tyre alignment particularly after such a wet winter, which has caused lots of pot holes. Tyres that are misaligned will wear out quicker.
