We’re calling on you to help the charity with its fundraising efforts by donating any unwanted cars to it.
Our Managing Director, Paul Rogers explained: “If you have an old car that’s just gathering rust, why not contact ‘Give a Car’ and turn your old motor into money for the British Skin Foundation?
“Having a daughter in the health and beauty sector, I am all too well aware of the importance of having healthy skin and the work this charity does is invaluable.
“Contact Give a Car by filling in the online form at http://www.giveacar.co.uk/charities/british-skin-foundation or calling 020 7736 4242 to arrange a convenient collection time. Your car is picked up for free and is sent to auction or scrap and you receive a receipt for your donation within six weeks.
“You can even donate half the value of your car and receive a cheque for the other half yourself.
“By choosing to donate your car to the British Skin Foundation, you will be helping the only UK charity dedicated to raising funds for skin disease and skin cancer research.”
There are eight million people living with a skin disease in the UK, some are manageable and others are severe enough to kill.
Paul added: “Skin disease doesn’t just affect the skin. It can have a huge impact on a person’s day-to-day life, crush self-confidence, restricting movement, leading to depression and putting a huge strain on families, as well as personal relationships.
“We’re hoping to spread the word through our customers and contacts during June to help boost the number of cars donated to this very worthy cause.”
